Smart Stop Connection For Dual Pack Usage
When Using Smart Stop with an ESC that has Connections
for Two (2) Separate Battery Packs:
It is extremely important to wire the Smart Stop module to the correct
battery pack in your dual-battery system, as the ESC does not drain the
battery packs equally. The Smart Stop MUST be connected to the battery
pack that has the higher drain to prevent wiring and battery pcak damage.
Test Which Battery Pack Powers the ESC’s Internal BEC:
The battery pack that powers the ESC’s electronics is under higher load,
and therefore the Smart Stop MUST be connected to this battery input.
Connect only 1 battery pack to the ESC. Turn on the ESC power--If ESC’s
LEDs come on, this is the battery pack you want to connect the Smart Stop to.
If LEDs do not come on, DO NOT connect Smart Stop to this battery--Wiring
& battery pack damage WILL OCCUR if connected to this battery pack!
